NRSC Hackathon for 3rd Year CSE/IT ONLY based on 3-Tier Arch. of Web (Front-end, Back-end & DataBase) on 03rd Aug, 2019 [09:30am to 03:30pm] * * * THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL CONTEST - TEAMS ARE NOT ALLOWED * * * What Do the 3 Tiers Mean? 1 - Presentation Tier- The presentation tier is the front end layer which consists of the user interface often built on web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, or through other popular web development frameworks and communicates with others layers through API calls. 2 - Application Tier- The application tier contains the functional business logic which drives an application’s core capabilities often written in Java, .NET, C#, Python, PHP etc. 3 - Data Tier- The data tier comprises of the database storage and management system such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, etc. Data is accessed by the application layer via API calls.
