Hon'ble HRM Shri Prakash Javadekar will inaugurate Smart India Hackathon 2018 on 16 October 2017.
After the successful completion of first ever world's biggest hackathon (SMART INDIA HACKATHON-2017) in April 2017, Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD), along with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in collaboration with i4c, is organizing second edition of hackathon (SMART INDIA HACKATHON-2018) involving all the engineering colleges pan India. 'Smart India Hackathon 2018' is being planned to reach out to more than 30 Lakhs Technology students (from Engineering /Management/Pharmacy and Architecture) and almost equal number of Basic Science students for harnessing their creativity for the benefit of nation building activity.
'Smart India Hackathon 2018', is planned to motivate the students to think out of the box and offer innovative solutions for some of the daunting problems faced by our nation. Problem statements will come directly from different ministries/organizations/ institutions/ govt. departments based on their requirements which will be used as a challenge by students for developing innovative digital solutions.
